10,000 lbs. Towing Capacity and 2,000 lbs. Payload

Work or play, we know you’ve come to rely on F-150’s ability to be in it for the long haul. That’s why we equipped the F-150 Lightning with smart technologies designed to help you tow and haul safely.

The power of a vehicle, especially a pickup truck, is not only calculated in horsepower but also pounds. With the strength of its engine block, the 2022 F-150 Lightning is capable of towing up to 10,000 lbs. That’s nearly a metric ton or 2,000 lbs, that can be hauled in the box. That’s more than enough for just about any daily task!

We look for every opportunity to make sure the F-150 Lightning is a tough, powerful and productive tool for our customers to help get the job done. Sometimes it takes innovations we didn’t even know we needed. Because we’re never satisfied, we look for every opportunity to make sure we’re bringing the kind of powerful work and play tool F-150 customers have come to expect. And by adding an all-electric powertrain, you also get a vehicle that requires no gas and offers potentially lower scheduled maintenance costs.

Front Trunk

You might wonder what we did with all that room where the engine used to be. It’s called a front trunk. The front trunk combined with exportable power is a game-changer that has the potential to impact how trucks are used both functionally and socially.
